11/15/2023 0 Comments 4d theater seattleMy only real complaint of this ride is that the overhead "canopy" in the seating section of the ride is very low overhead so you are constantly seeing it above your head as you experience the ride. And, since the ride is right next to the Seattle Great Wheel, I think the owner should consider doing some sort of combo package deal ticket for both rides. I'll be back from time to time myself as I really enjoyed it. At $17 per person for adults and $13 per person for children 11 and under, the ride is a little pricey considering the short length of the experience, but it is very well done and worth trying at least once. You will enjoy some incredible Washington State scenery as well as some of Washington State's funest events such as the Seafair hydroplane races on Lake Washington. Due to space restrictions, the ride isn't as big as Disney's Soarin, but you get the same effect and the ride is overall very well done. The ride operates using the same premise of strapping you into a seat, raising you up in the air, and then moving you around in conjunction with what you are seeing on the huge movie screen in front of you to give you a virtual reality feeling of flying through the air. WOW is Seattle's version of Disney's California Adventure ride, Sorin' over California. It's located on the same pier as Seattle's Great Wheel and owned by the same gentleman. There is some disorientation when you are lifted off the ground and there is a feeling of flying through the sky, I think that if they know what to expect, it will help with any fears. (Basically this is Disney's soarin' ride on a smaller scale) The ride will take you through some beautiful Washington scenery, filling all of your senses. Next you enter the ride which is a theater like room with seats that will lift you off of the ground into the action. The preshow was a big hit with us all, funny and entertaining.
